Social messenging App Cost Mobile phone company $14 billion

Social messaging app are now costing phone company over $14 billion dollar because it takes over most messaging feature on the phone. It allows the social messaging app to have more users than the one who is using the actual phone app. It state that there are several social networking app that is taking over most of the phone user. Right now Facebook chat is taking over 22% of the mobile broadband, the second most use social messaging app is WhatApp. At the 3 spot is yahoo messenger and the 4 spot is window live. All these apps are taking over the actual phone feature which is why it's costing the phone company more money.
I think this is a interesting topic to talk about because now mostly everyone is using different app to talk with other people while on the phone. So people are not using the feature that is on the actual phone like message, instead people just go and buy app from the app store or android market to get  the new type of messenger that is a lot faster than the actual messenger. With this said I personally also use this type of messenger because it's a lot easier than the one they give.
