The Big Picture Homework
What is machine language and how is it difference from human language?
In my opinion the very most important and obvious difference is that our human language is what we humans speak and communicate with each other. Our machine language are 1 and 0 or anything like that. Things that we human will not understand unless you memorize the machine language. So we need to understand human language first to actually understand machine languages.
Who was the first computer programmer?
Ada Lovelace
What did he/she created? Explain that in detail.
She created the first programmable computer which she use Charles Babbage's idea to actually make one programmable computer. Charles actually made an analytical engine which is actually the first step of a programmer. The thing is he couldn't be able to finish his project, because there are a lot of issues/error with it. And so Ada took Charles idea and develop the system just by adding more method to actually complete the program. After she did complete to make the program she is known as the first programmer.

iPhone senses you typing on table
Summary
This article is pretty much talking about how a Swiss designer called Florian Kräutli created a vibration keyboard. This keyboard uses Vibrative Virtual Keyboard it uses accelerometer on the iPhone 4 to sense the tremors of the finger tapping the table. He says that it could be use on any solid surface. But as they see the demo it seems like a lot of pressure is needed to press the key to allow the phone to detect it. Even thought this is only the prototype, he say he is still working on it and will publish it as soon as his done.

Major Concept
- It shows that our technology have been developing a lot.
- He is trying to show a wireless non solid keyboard that is projected on a solid surface to be able to type.
- To show more ways for people to use smartphone more consistently.
- More convenient for people who travel a lot.
- Easier for people to type while using a smartphone.
- It's not that easy to press the buttons.
- The sensory of the object isn't as good as it suppose to be.
- How does this actually work, even reading the article I am still confused.
- Why is it hard to put a projector on a smartphone to create the same effect but easier.

- A lot of people are using documentaries to learn.
- There are a lot of websites out there that will help you understand education better.
- A lot of the education now occur with ICT and the technology of our world.
- Students are more interested in learning now that it is on the internet.
- It's a video not a bunch of words so that will also allow student to pay more attention to it.
- Student could be lazy and not learning anything because since there are no teacher there they will be lazy.
- There might be some inappropriate content that are not suitable for the kid at that age
- Is there any other website for school stuff?
- How can you tell if a website is trusable.

Google search with new features. (Enhanced Sounds)
Summary:
The main summary of this article is that Google is trying to compete with Siri which is an strong match up. They are both different in a lot of ways for example Siri cannot be too specific about some things that they are talking about or the user is asking. For the example gave in the article is say that in Google search can ask questions like how does the Yankee stadium look like? Does things are some question that Siri cannot answer properly. But the other difference is that Siri can do things that Google search cannot which is making appointment, reminders, etc. So there is a difference between using Siri and Google search. For the IOS things it cannot participate with another third part application, which in this case is Google search. So there are advantages and disadvantages between the two features. So it only comes down to whether you should use Siri or Google search I think it's all up to the user and see if he/she is use to which application.

- Showing how people are trying to catch up to each others technology.
- Help people with disability to use smartphones.
- To put that feature on other smartphone too not just iPhone.
- People will be very lazy in the future.
- They need to make it more accurate so people who have accent can't really talk to it.
- How are all voice recognition made?
- What other questions that are hard to answer, could it be asked and answered?

A history of smartphones
Since right now pretty much everyone uses a smartphone it doesn't matter if it's an iPhone, blackberry, Samsung, etc. It's all smartphones and since right now world smartphone usage total has passed the billion mark in 20 years. A lot of company have been earning a lot of money from all these kind of smartphones. Right now I think 9/10 people on street would be using a smartphone. This website show the most important 20 type of smartphone which start from Bell south IBM Simon to iPhones. So these are all the types of smartphones in the world that are really important to start all the other smartphones.
I think this article is really cool because now like I said before 9/10 people on street probably have/use an smartphone. So looking at all these phone to see what they evolve from is really cool, because this is really what surrounds our whole world. So reading this article really teach me that everything new products are all evolve from an old device and all these device are what is really motivate these company to make the smartphones.

Major Concept:
- The usage of smartphone have been use for over a billion usages.
- The different type of important types of smartphones.
- How all these smartphone develop into the one we are using.
- Tell us how long smartphone have been around.
- There are some strength and advantages for example he said that the usage of smartphone have gone over billions. I think this is a very strong argument because it just show that how many people have been using smartphones.
- It just make me realize how long smartphone have been around for 20 years and these are the 20 most important smartphones. I say that because I think that smartphone have only been around since 2005 or so.
- I think he could possibly overlook some of the 20 years like I see some smartphones in this article that I believe isn't really that important. Maybe some things inside of the phone that make it important but it's not that I know of.
- Other than that there is nothing really that is a main weakness of this article.
- I would want to know what are the types of smartphone that makes it important and how it contribute with the other smartphones?
- Are there some smartphones that will help us understand how it develop?

Control Your TV With A Magic Wand
If you are bored of using the ordinary remote to change your channels, now you could use a magic wand also known as Kymera magic wand remote control. With this new remote control there is no buttons on the wand so there is 13 gestures on the wand. For example, you can swing the wand left and right to change the channels or you and swirl the wand to increase or decrease the volume of it. The entire wand can be modified/customize to the way you like it. It came in a snake skin box, which is embedded in a Chinese silk cushion all around the magic wand.
I think this is an amazing find in the technology world because people have always loved Harry Potter and wanted the magic wand and now you could with this magic wand. I read another article before and I think the creators inspiration is from Harry Potter. So I think all the Harry Potter fan will get it to feel like Harry Potter and plus it isn't that pricey for a magic wand that isn't just a light up wand. It actually have uses which is to control your TV with style. When you have this and show it to your friends they would be impressed by what that wand can do. This is a great investigation for mankind because it shows what we can do instead of just an imaginary.

Advertising
In language class what we are learning is about advertising we are learning how people us different type of propaganda skills to make an advertisement. We watched alot of commercials and we are told to find out what are the different type of propaganda skills that are in those commercial. Most commercial we watch have mostly the same type of propaganda skills because it is require to do so.
I think learning about these propaganda skills is really important in the future when you are doing business and you are trying to make a commercial then you know what to do to make a good commercial. So learning about how to advertise in the real world I think is really useful in the future. I will post one of the video we watched below to show what are the type of commercial we saw.

New Sketchup
This week in ICT what we did on sketchup is that we make a door knob and a second door. So it goes as usual where Mr.Pete will show us step by step how to create the door knob and the second door. The door knob is slightly harder to do but when Mr.Pete is teaching it step by step then it is easy to learn. I know that because the other day I try to do it myself and I can't do it because its pretty difficult to do it. The door knob look really realistic which is really cool.
I learned that without Mr.Pete there teaching me how to make a door knob step by step it is really difficult to do it alone. Doing sketchup like I said before on other post its good to learn about it and its interesting but am I really going to use it for the future. Only if I'm a designer or something on that line. But nonetheless I still enjoy doing all these sketchup because its fun to see you making realistic things.

Internet safety: Rules for the kids
Nowadays internet is really useful and everyone love it. In school if you have a permanent record its on your school but if you have a post or something on the internet it is permanently on that place. So what you post online is really important to what if you want the others to see it or not. For example in the document it says that if in 5th grade you having a username fatgreenwizard might be cool but when you grow up into the real world having that name will not get you a job. So it means that people need to think long-term instead of just where they are at right now.
I think this is a very important for kids not just kids maybe even adults or teenager. We might know more than kids but the internet is still pretty dangerous depend on what are on it. If you have something that you don't want it to be said online then the best thing is to not post the thing on the internet. The reason is because what are the chances of that internet thing being online and you don't want it to be. You can't do anything about it because if you will have no control over it once something copied it somewhere. So I think this is a article where everyone who reads it is okay.

Flying Cars
It has be proven that they can create a plane that actually can be able to fly. This machine has been tested and they said it has been around for over 3 years already but no one talks about it. It can run 400+ miles before it stop and so pretty much you can fly from New York to Boston. It is legal for people to drive or fly it around according to the street rules. As long as you have a license for driving or a pilot driving license you can drive it or fly it. They say it is easy to drive it too so its just like driving a car but now you can fly it too.
I think this is a great invention for people for a new technology to show us people that anything is possible so I think this is great. Maybe the price will be really pricy but I bet people will still buy it if you have the money because it look really cool and you can fly it. If you don't feel like driving around or going through airport security you can use this flying car to get through all those problem. So overall this is a cool invention for human mankind.

No more Username and passwrod: OneID
OneID is a new program create by Steve Kirsch, which he says that by using OneID it will makes it easier to log in or to buy something online. All it is is to make one click on the OneID thing and it will help you log in or buy something online. Once you click on the OneID button it will send it to your second device which could be a mobile phone. It will first be send to your second device and you will receive a code from that second device then you input that code into the active device which is the computer. This is how OneID work and how it process!
I think this could be useful if we want to save our credit card information or something important that we use the thing. I personally think that it is a little too complicate for just to input in the username and password, I think there is too much work to do it. So personally I would not use it because it is too much work where I could do it easier with just inputting in the username and password. I know this would be a safer way to keep your information but I think it is too much work to just put in the username and password. So in my opinion it is a bad program because if I just want to keep my credit card I would use PayPal!

North Carolina Basketball
North Carolina university also known as NCU is famous for playing
basketball the reason is because the history of basketball there is one
man who is very famous from that school which is Michael Jordan. NCU is
really good at basketball and there rival is Duke University which is
another famous basketball university. NCU and Duke had alot of good
matches and I don't know who to pick because I like both. There is one
player from NCU who I like which is Kendall Marshal but the thing is he
is injured so he can't play for a while.
NCU is a really good basketball team in NCAA. There alot of famous NBA star who is from NCU like Michael Jordan, Vince Carter, etc. Those player all are really good basketball player that is from NCU. The rivalry between NCU and Duke is building up because they have won some against each other and also lost some. So I think it will be fun to watch they play against each other again. I really enjoy NCAA basketball because it is really entertaining to watch.

LA Midterm
I think I did pretty good on the test so I am not too scared of getting a low score. I wrote a 3 page and 2 sentence essay on it and I memorize all his personality and also my own. By learning others peoples' personality is a good thing to communicate with other people. It is also
a great skill to learn and it will help us in the future if we do so.
So I think learning these skill is good for our life.
In the last Language art class we had we had an mid-term exam which we would have to write a 600 word essay on comparing and contrast our personality with a character from a book. The book was called a cat on a hot tin roof, which is a play which is a corrupted family and how the family members talk to each other. Anyway we had to do a test on it and I need to write about Brick Pollitt, who is one of the main character in the book and I need to compare personality.
More Sketchup!
So this week in ICT class we did sketchup again, but this time we are improving the windows and doors to make it look like a nice restaurant. We make custom doors and windows and we put it into our restaurant. We use quite a complicated way to make the doors and windows but I can still understand it and follow it. I would post a picture of it but we did not turn it in last time so I don't have a picture with me at this moment.
I think this is a great way for us maybe in the future if we want to create a building we can use sketchup and the skill we learn to make our building. So there is a 3D model of the structure that we are designing and it will also help us see if it will work out or look nice in real life. So I think learning these sketchup skill will help us in the future if we pursue our career as a engineer or a building designer.

How to make your twitter tweets more trustworthy!
Ever feel like some tweets on twitter that are not even trustworthy. Here they did a study on how people think that you are trustworthy. This way people will be easier to see the tweet to see what other actually tweet is worth reading it or not. But anyway twitter has very less text when people text it anyway so it only takes about 1-5 min to read one. So there is a few ways that you can tell if it is trustworthy to tell if the tweet can be trustworthy or not. The easiest way to trust if the tweet is trustworthy is post was retweeted by someone you trust. The easiest way to trust if you can't trust the tweet is author’s user image is a logo, so here is a few ways to tell the difference.
I think this a good experiment to check and it is good to know how people tell the difference of a good tweet or a bad tweet. But to be honest in my opinion I think it doesn't matter because you can use your logic or research about these topics. And also these tweet are about like 1-5 min of reading so reading it doesn't hurt you at all so why not just read it. Anyway I think that this is a good way to show us how we can tell the difference and this is a good article that people should read!

Microsoft are working on a program that can translate your voice into another language
This is a new way to communicate with others if you don't know what is there language. Microsoft came up with this new technology to help traveler go to other country and can communicate with other people. They are trying to create this program to help other easier to travel around the world. It work like a program and when you speak into it it first recognize your language then it will translate into your language. It will then speak out into the outside so it will translate it.
I think that this is a great program that will help everyone who is traveling and it will make everyone's life alot easier once we have this new program and I think that everyone should use this, I think that people who will use this are only travelors or just people who want to play around with it. This new technology can help the world and it will make everyone start traveling more. Too bad right now there is only a few language not alot so that is the only bad thing about it.

Mouthguard Protection
This is what people or athletes use while playing sport they use it to protect their mouth. Every sport would use this if there is any physical contact for example boxing,American football, basketball, rugby, etc. This is one of the most important protection while playing sport because to get your mouth to bleed is pretty simple. So when athlete uses it it protects them to get hit on the mouth and bleed because if that happen then it will be a big trouble for them.
I think that using a mouthgaurd is really important for all sport especially sport that has alot of contacT。 I uses it because I always bite my own tongue everytime I play basketball so I need it to prevent bleeding。 I think that every sport should definately use it so then they won’t get injured so easily on the mouth。Tuesday, March 13, 2012
First on moon real or fake?
This week in social studies we are learning about the Russian and USA having the cold war and one of the topic that we are discussing is if the moon tape real or fake. There is this tape from USA that their astronaut landed on the moon first but there is alot of conspiracy that the tape is fake. There is alot of evidence out there in the internet about the conspiracy on the evidence that it is a fake tape.
I think that it is fake because there is way too much conspiracy about it so I think it is a good thing that there is so much different evidence on it. I just think that it is fake because there is no gravity in the moon so how can the flag be shaking or moving without gravity. There are some things that shows that it is sort of fake like you can't explain it properly because it looks fake.

Sketchup
This week we did alot of sketchup to try to make our virtual restaurant but first we need to learn the basic of making those houses. Once we learn the basic we will start creating our actual virtual restaurant. We first make a couple of house and blocks and then doors and windows. We make the basic of a restaurant and will be learning more later on but so far this is that we learn.
I think that learning sketchup is great because we can finally learn what it is to make a restaurant to our own design. I think it is really fun to create your own design and learning how to do so. I also like that we are using sketchup which is pretty simple to use and there is alot of cool things and tools you can use to make it alot better. So overall I think learning this lesson is really good.

Microsoft's 3D Desktop now put your computing with your own fingertip!
The Microsoft applied scientist group has show a prototype of a new Microsoft 3D desktop. The system is use with the Samsung's OLED desktop and also Kinect's sensor. There is a normal keyboard beneath the transparent screen to allow the user to type as normal. There is an example of this new Microsoft desktop is to flip through a stack of file is to reach it into the desktop and move it. The sensor not only track the hand positioning it also track down your eye and head position. By doing that it tracks where you can see the pictures and screen so it will fit with where you are. By getting the exact position of where you are it allow the screen to show you the exact 3D perspective of the screen!
I think this is a great invention and a new technology. Well it isn't really a new technology because they just take other company's screen and using one of their own technology the Kinect's sensor to use as the sensor for this new prototype. This is a great thing to know because we can be sure that our technology is developing day by day we have new invention or new technology because we keep investigating new ways to do so. I think that this is really useful in the future because its alot easier to control and you don't need a mouse anymore to do any of the computer things.

Jeremy Evans Slam Dunk Winner 2012
As it process in the NBA there is something called the NBA All Star 2012 in Orlando this year and what it is is that its like a show where NBA All Stars will participate in it. There is slam dunk contest, 3 point shootout, BBVA rising star, Haier shooting star, BBVA celebrity games, and the most importantly West VS East game. Jeremy Evans participate in the 2012 Slam dunk contest and win it with the most vote. He got several cool dunks but I think he could make some more improvement.
I personally have no clue who Jeremy Evans is until this slam dunk contest he came in for Iman Shumpert who I believe is injured. So we take place for Iman Shumpert and won the 2012 slam dunk contest. His dunks to be honest isn't that good but the dunk are memoroble and paying tribute to previous NBA star. His final dunk is a tribute to NBA Hall Of Fame Karl Malone with that dunk he won the dunk contest!

Psychology
This week in Language art class we learn about psychology and how human thinks the way they think. We went to the computer lab to do a test which is just yes or no question or you personality. The goal of our test is to see what personality we have and what career we might be able to choose. Knowing your personality is good and we did that and share it with the whole class our results.
I think that by learning and knowing your or others personality is really important in real life, because you need to know how to communicate with others. What I mean by that is that people would want to know what you like so it would be easier for you to communicate with others without them being mad at you. So by doing that you need to understand their personality.

Review(ICT)
Last week in ICT class we learn about creating a page using all what we have learn from all these weeks. For example, we use indesign to make the template and the layout for the page that we are doing. We use Adobe Illustrator to make things like shape where we take the shape from Adobe Photoshop and we paste it into adobe illustrator to make the changes. We use it to do our Well Admission Procedure which is use to get into Wells. We are reviewing it because we have a test this week on it.
This is useful later in our life because we might need to use it to make pages for our work, otherwise I don't really see why we need this. Maybe to edit things for fun because if you go for other job like accountant you don't need this skill but it is good to learn how to do it and its quite interesting but also quite hard. After learning all these we are put on the test to try to remember this this week on a test.
